Stylists and designers are officially done with summer, colourful strappy dresses & gladiator sandals are safely stored away and it's time to choose more practical & warm pieces to survive the gloomy days coming up.
No need to feel down, this season has so much to offer! Follow our Autumn & Winter 2022 trends, taken from fashion weeks and trend specialists, and get excited for the upcoming fashion season!
1. Big colour blocking
AW 22 loves colour, according to Pantone's London Fashion Week report, this season is all about sophisticated, bold colours.
No wonder why the big trend for this season is colour blocking: matching seemingly contrasting colours into head-to-toe bold colourful looks is a game changer this year.
Try this look by mixing a colourful dress (like our midi pink Cora, or mini Aurora in rich red) with a large coat in whole different colour. Mix and match with plenty of joyful colour options to uplift the gloomy grey skies.
2. Tick, tick, boom... Bomber jackets
Flight jackets are finally back, but it's all about being extra. Big in size, big in colour & big in impact; Statement jackets rock the runways of designers like Elie Saab's extra oversized black version or Prada's embellished bottle green one, plus they are also a super easy way to elevate your look and make your basics look super chic.
Choose one that not only looks stunning, but also offers practicality - such as waterproof fabric, or a warm, insulated bodice - like this one!
3. Take it and Knit it
Whether it's the increased electricity cost or a long-time tradition - knits are back! It's hard to imagine more Autumn thing than a chunky knitted top, or granny cardigan.
As always, fashion stylists bring it to the next level by making them extra, like our super chunky Nia vest (that's also 100% recycled). Choose something that's easy to style, as knits are the best over a midi skirt or extra long bodycon with an elegant turtleneck.
You can also join the fun but learning how to knit, as a perfect creative way to pass chilly afternoons.
4. Biker's Lover boots
After a summer of colourful mules, it's time for heavy-duty, rock and roll biker boots. But don't worry, you don't have to go all metal, they look best paired with midi dresses & silky skirts. It's all about the romance of femininity and your dark side.
Our favourite autumn look is definitely a voluminous Noemie dress with pair of faux leather boots from the vintage shop. That way you can enjoy the trend being vegan, without animal leather.
5. The babydoll
Don't worry if you love puffy dresses! Autumn/Winter 22 brings these back (or rather refuses to give them up). With big, feminine & romantic minidresses from designers such as Cecilie Bahnsen & Simone Rocha, you can celebrate your fairy side through the season.
